iPods

iPods come to the River Forest Library!

Ask a staff member about checking out an iPod Nano pre-loaded with an audio book of your choice! Prefer to listen to the latest books on your own iPod? We will load the content for you. Use of the River Forest Public Library’s iPods are limited to River Forest Public Library cardholders who are 18 years of age and older.

If you like audiobooks, don’t miss our Media On Demand service as well. Visit Media On Demand to browse, check out and download audiobooks from home!

How to get books onto your personal iPod

Choose an audiobook from our iTunes library
or
Request a title to be added to our collection

We download the books for you while you wait!

You will be able to keep the titles on your ipod for 3 weeks. Bring your iPod back to the library within the 3 week loan period for us to check in the books and remove the content from your player.

Once you have placed the request for your titles in the SWAN catalog call the library at 708-366-5205 x304 or send an email to circulation(@)riverforestlibrary.org to confirm your hold.

Once your hold has been confirmed by a library staff member, bring your fully charged iPod to the Circulation Desk.

Important: Before you bring your iPod to the library either clear all content or set the player to “manually manage music”. Failure to do this will risk loss of previous downloads. The images below show where you select manually manage music in iTunes.
