The purpose of providing technology education at the River Forest Public Library is to promote lifelong learning, equal access and enrichment through the use of technology, in support of the mission of the River Forest Public Library.

Computer Learning Labs
Get more comfortable using a computer and the internet in a casual and collaborative environment.

Whether you keep getting stuck, simply want to know more or have something specific in mind that you want to learn, our Computer Learning Lab is the place for you! We’ll provide supervised practice, answer your questions and also provide a handout on a specific computer or internet-searching related topic each week.
This lab is designed for the total beginner through the intermediate home/personal user.
Space is limited, sign up required. We will take walk-ins on lab days if space is available. You may also bring your own laptop. Contact the library Reference Desk at 708-366-5205 ext 316 or reference@riverforestlibrary.org to sign up.
eReader Labs
Thursdays from 1:30-2:30 PM

Drop in to the library once per month for our eReader Lab! We’ll show you how to download free ebooks from the library and as well as help you figure out the basics of navigating your eReader (iPad, Kindle, Nook or Android device).
This is a drop-in program, no registration is required. However, you may leave your contact information with the Reference Desk at 708-366-5205 ext 316 or reference@riverforestlibrary.org, and we will give you a reminder call the day before the lab.
