Friends of the River Forest Library Book Sale

The FOL Sale is a fantastic fundraiser which regularly draws area book lovers and book dealers alike.

The Friends of the River Forest Library Book Sale will return this June 28th-30th, at Roosevelt Middle School adjacent to the Library.

Book donations will be accepted from June 17th through the 27th at Roosevelt School, Lathrop Avenue/parking lot entrance.

Drop in on Friday, June 28 from 5-9 pm, with a $5 entry fee to see the best selection (Friends of the Library get in free)! The sale continues on Saturday, June 29 from 9:30 am-4:00 pm (No entry fee). On Sunday, June 30th, drop in from 12-3 pm for the best deal- $5.00 gets an unlimited quantity of books! We hope to see you there.

About the Friends

The board members of the Friends have decided to simplify their organizational responsibilities. We will now be a sub-committee of the Finance and Development Committee of the Library Board of Trustees. Membership dues will no longer be collected. Recent donations and dues received will be donated to the Liebner Fund (if anyone would like their money back, it will be refunded).

Our main focus will now be the Book Sale. This year the Sale will be held June 28th – June 30th. Donations will be accepted as of June 17th.

The Friends will make a substantial donation to the Liebner Fund and continue to support the Summer Reading program and the Faye Devine Grant. We also look forward to helping the library staff with projects as part of a volunteer corps.
